The girl is going to be interrogated as a witness in the fraud case brought against Alexei Navalny. She was detained when she was at the doctor’s office.
In early February, HSE fired Anna Wellicok, who worked as a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science, after being arrested for retweeting a rally in support of Navalny.
The fraud case against Navalny was initiated at the end of 2020. The investigation believes that the oppositionist “with other persons” spent 356 of the 588 million rubles collected as donations for personal purposes. Among the organizations that allegedly collected the stolen donations, the UK names the Anti-Corruption Foundation and other associations associated with the politician.
