Russian synchronized swimmers won Olympic gold in the group competition. The national team won 18 gold medals at the Tokyo Games

The Russian national synchronized swimming team became the winner of the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, showing the best result in the group competition.

The team included Vlada Chigireva, Marina Golyadkina, Svetlana Kolesnichenko, Polina Komar, Alexandra Patskevich, Svetlana Romashina, Alla Shishkina, Maria Shurochkina.

They scored 196.0979 points for the technical and free program. The second place was taken by the team of China (193.5310), the third place by the national team of Ukraine (190.3018).
