Russian Greco-Roman wrestler Musa Yevloyev won gold at the Olympic tournament in Tokyo in the weight category up to 97 kg. About it informs Championat.com.
Yevloyev’s rival in the final was the 29-year-old representative of Armenia, Olympic champion of the Games in Rio de Janeiro Artur Aleksanyan. During the tournament, Yevloyev defeated an athlete from Georgia Georgy Melia, Hungarian athlete Alex Söke and Pole Tadeusz Michalik.
Earlier, Russian Greco-Roman wrestlers Sergei Emelin and Sergei Semenov won bronze medals in competitions in the weight categories up to 60 kg and up to 130 kg, respectively.
Thus, Russian athletes returned to fifth place in the medal standings of the Olympics. The team has 13 gold, 21 silver and 18 bronze medals. Now the team of China is in the lead in the standings, it has 32 gold, 20 silver and 16 bronze medals.
