Rospotrebnadzor allowed to hold sports events in the capital with the participation of no more than three thousand people, informs agency “Moscow” with reference to the press service of the department.
This decision of the department is connected with the intention to weaken the coronavirus restrictions in the city, taking into account the incidence rate. The new requirement will not affect cultural and educational events.
At the same time, Rospotrebnadzor stressed that compliance with covid restrictions in the conduct of sports events “will continue to be under special control.”
Today, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has canceled the mandatory wearing of gloves in public places, arguing that the epidemiological situation in the capital has improved. The last two weeks in Moscow, about 2.5-5 thousand new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded.
On July 11, Sobyanin announced that the peak incidence of coronavirus had been overcome.
“Thank God, we have overcome the peak values, and now there is some stabilization. You can even say a slight decrease in the incidence rate, ”he said.
The incidence of coronavirus in Moscow in July began to skyrocket, presumably due to the emergence of a new strain of delta. In this regard, the Moscow authorities introduced mandatory vaccinations for workers in some regions, as well as QR codes for visiting cafes and restaurants, which were canceled three weeks later, announcing that the main danger had been overcome.
Also, according to the infection control headquarters, the situation with the mortality rate from COVID-19 has also improved in Russia. For several weeks, it does not exceed 800 people per day.
However, demographer Aleksey Raksha believes that these figures are “absolutely drawn.” In fact, according to his data, the death rate is kept at the level of 2,500 people per day.
