A suspect in the death of the Minister of Digital Development of the region was detained in the Amur Region

In the Amur region, a 39-year-old man was detained, suspected of inflicting fatal injuries on the Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the region, Alexander Kurdyukov, informs local government of the UK. The man is accused of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm (part 1 of article 111 of the Criminal Code).

Alexander Kurdyukov died yesterday in the hospital, where he was taken after a fight with an unknown person.

By data Baza, Kurdyukov was beaten on July 17 at the Berloga tourist center near Blagoveshchensk. An unknown person began to pester the minister’s wife, the skirmish was quickly extinguished, but in the evening of the same day Kurdyukov disappeared. He was found unconscious with a head injury. He was already in a coma at the hospital.

“Moscow’s comsomolets” wrotethat the sportsman who was resting at the tourist center insulted the minister’s wife and inflicted severe head injuries in a fight.

Telegram channel Mash transfersthat the detainee is powerlifter Alexey Shkarin.

Earlier, the criminal case on deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm (Article 111 of the Criminal Code) was under the jurisdiction of the police, but later the regional prosecutor Alexander Buchman ordered to transfer it to the IC.

Kurdyukov has worked in the government of the Amur Region since 2010.
