The Central Election Commission excluded Pavel Grudinin, a candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in the elections to the State Duma, from the federal list due to his assets in a foreign bank. CEC Resolution was approved at a meeting of the commission.
The document notes that, according to federal law, a citizen of the Russian Federation nominated as a candidate for the elections of deputies of the State Duma, including as part of the federal list of candidates, is obliged to close accounts and deposits by the time the documents for registration are submitted to the CEC, and to stop storing funds and valuables. in foreign banks located outside the territory of the Russian Federation, or to alienate foreign financial instruments.
According to the resolution, the information received from the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation indicates that Grudinin did not fulfill the requirement, and this is the basis for excluding the candidate from the federal list.
The CEC registered a federal list of 344 candidates from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
