The company was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“the owner of an information resource on the Internet did not delete information if the obligation to delete it is provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation”). The punishment for this offense provides for a fine from 800 thousand to 4 million rubles.
Earlier on July 22, the magistrate of the judicial district No. 422 of the Tagansky district of Moscow fined Facebook 6 million rubles under two protocols for not removing prohibited content. The punishment for violation under Part 1 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code provides for a fine from 800 thousand to 4 million rubles, under the second part of this article – from 3 to 8 million rubles.

Claims against the companies are also related to the refusal to localize the data of Russian users on the territory of Russia, the failure to delete content about suicides, drugs and child pornography.
