“A citizen of the Russian Federation who does not have registration at the place of residence on the territory of the Russian Federation, who has received citizenship in a simplified manner in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 24, 2019 No. 183, has the right to participate in the elections of deputies of the State Duma in the federal electoral district,” – stated in the resolution published on the website of the Central Election Commission of Russia.
At the same time, it is emphasized that those wishing to vote must necessarily confirm their account on the “Gosuslug” portal.
“We decided to see if it would be possible to create for these citizens of Russia, who also have the right to vote, the opportunity to vote at any other point. And, it seems to me, we will advance quite strongly in this direction, ”explained Nikolai Bulaev, deputy chairman of the CEC.
Earlier, the Central Election Commission announced that in the September elections it will be possible to vote remotely in seven Russian regions: in Moscow, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Yaroslavl and Murmansk regions, as well as in Sevastopol.
