Russia is not negotiating the admission of foreign vaccines, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov. His words are quoted by Interfax.
“We have four vaccines of our own. Isn’t this a choice? ”Peskov said in response to the remark that for someone the choice between a Russian and a foreign vaccine would be decisive.
According to him, the topic of admitting foreign vaccines to Russia “is not yet discussed in any way,” and supplies of Russian drugs are conducted “quite regularly.”
Previously, Janssen, a division of the American Johnson & Johnson, which developed the coronavirus vaccine of the same name, statedthat she is ready to cooperate with all interested parties in order to enter the markets of Russia and other CIS members with her drug.
The fact that a number of foreign manufacturers have submitted documents for registration of their vaccines in Russia was reported by the Minister of Health of Russia Mikhail Murashko.
