Svetlana Radionova, the head of the service for supervision in the field of nature management (Rosprirodnadzor), managed to remove links to some materials about herself from the search engine results, using the law on the “right to be forgotten”, discovered MBH Media.

From the search results for Russian users, materials have disappeared for the requests of “Svetlana Radionova”, “Svetlana Radionova France”, “Svetlana Radionova Nice”. Instead, a message appears on the search page that “some of the search results are hidden in accordance with Federal Law No. 264-FZ of July 13, 2015”.

Last year, the team of Alexei Navalny found the head of Rosprirodnadzor has real estate worth 720 million rubles. Moreover, her official income, according to declarations, is 400 thousand rubles a month. Navalny drew attention to the fact that, according to media reports, Radionova flew to Nice about 40 times in four years. According to the extracts, an apartment worth 500 thousand euros was registered there for her retired parents, the investigation said. In addition, the parents own a plot of 34 acres and a house of 600 sq. meters.

Also, in the ownership of the parents of the head of Rosprirodnadzor, several apartments were found in Moscow, ranging from 120 to 189 sq. m.

The law on the “right to be forgotten” entered into force in Russia in 2016. It allows citizens and companies to require search engines to hide links to information that is “inaccurate,” “out of date,” or that violates the law.
