We have the results of the next day of the trial of Navalny. True, it was very difficult to let down today’s meeting – the meeting was classified.
The fact is that today they were supposed to interrogate two victims in the fraud case – Vyacheslav Kuzin and Alexander Karnyukhin. Both Kuzin and Karnyukhin filed preliminary petitions that they would like their interrogation to take place behind closed doors, which means that there would be no broadcast for journalists. Yesterday’s “victim”, pensioner Kostenko, wrote exactly the same petition, but he refused it in court. All petitions were written as a carbon copy, so there is no doubt that they were not written by the victims themselves.
It is important to note that both Kuzin and Karnyukhin were indeed FBK donors for many years. Over the course of several years, they transferred money to both the Foundation and Alexei’s presidential campaign and never felt cheated. And then in the life of Vyacheslav Kuzin an event occurred that dramatically changed his life: a criminal case was opened against him and sent to a pre-trial detention center. There he was interrogated for the first time in the Navalny case. Agree, not the most friendly environment. Kuzin was then transferred to house arrest. He is still under it and was wearing a bracelet on his leg in court today.
We have no doubt that Kuzin was pressured into identifying himself as a threatened victim.
With the second victim, Karnyukhin, also our long-term donor, there is only one difference. If a case was opened against Kuzin now, then against Karnyukhin a long time ago. For tax evasion. This case is old, but it costs nothing to resurrect it now. we are sure that this is exactly what they threatened Karnyukhin with if he refuses to act as a victim.
Karnyukhin also said that he transferred the money voluntarily, Navalny did not steal anything from him. Moreover, the victim Karnyukhin found out that there was some kind of fraud from the press release of the Investigative Committee. The investigator summoned him for interrogation, where he forced him to read this press release. And then he offered to become a victim.
Navalny directly asked Karnyukhin: did the investigator promise that you would have problems if you refused? Karnyukhin hesitated at first, and then muttered, “Well, how can I tell you…”
This is not so easy to understand, so I repeat once again. The donors had no claims against Navalny. Nobody deceived them. The fact of fraud is completely invented – the Investigative Committee wrote a press release with non-existent amounts of embezzlement, and then began to summon people, show them this press release and demand that they identify themselves as victims. If people refused, they were threatened.
And now Alexei is being judged for this. And they can be imprisoned for 15 years. For a completely made-up case, for intimidated victims, for witnesses, some of whom are corrupt bloggers, and some renounce their testimony right in court.
The fact that the case of fraud is combined with the case of insulting a judge gives a special note to this court. Therefore, on the one hand, Alexey is accused of stealing 2 million, and on the other, that he called someone a gramophone. And today, immediately after the victims, Natalia Kryukova was interrogated – it was she who did the examination of Navalny’s statements in court, recognizing 104 of his phrases as offensive. Among them are the exclamations “damn” and “e-my”. The expert considered these expressions obscene. In the words “my God,” she, I’m not kidding, seemed offensive intonation! Or the statement “You don’t understand at all what a criminal process is” – this, Kryukova believes, creates an image of a non-professional for a judge.
You say: what kind of expert is there who could seriously write such nonsense? I won’t surprise you. To conduct this examination, the investigators hired a specialist who is not even a linguist by education. She is a math teacher. But do not think that she is a random person. For example, it was she, Natalya Kryukova, who did the examination for the process of liquidating the Memorial.
True, one could laugh at this if Alexei had not been threatened with 15 years for these deeds. But it threatens. And I beg you to tell about this criminal case as much as possible. Let everyone see this absurdity, and let everyone know that Navalny is innocent and should be free.
