The Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service for Moscow introduced anti-epidemic restrictions in the capital’s pre-trial detention centers. About it says on the agency portal.

As noted in the message, new prisoners will now only accept pre-trial detention center-7 “Kapotnya”. In addition, in all pre-trial detention centers, the reception of parcels is temporarily prohibited, except for parcels with medicines.

Lawyers will be able to communicate with clients only through the glass in the rooms for short visits.

In addition, convicts and accused will no longer be taken to court hearings and investigative actions. They were temporarily banned from short-term visits and visits by representatives of the executive authorities and the public monitoring commission.

In response to this, in the Moscow POC declaredthat the lack of a cell-by-cell tour “makes it impossible for many prisoners to report violations.”

The last time about the introduction of such restrictions reported January 20 last year. Two days earlier, the Khimki city court issued an arrest warrant for Alexei Navalny, who had just returned to Russia from Germany, where he was undergoing rehabilitation after being poisoned by Novichok.
