From February 7, the leadership of the First Moscow State Medical University named after Sechenov will send all senior students for an unscheduled practice in Moscow polyclinics. About this DOXA reported a reader studying at the First Honey.

Similar practice implements already for the second time. Last year, his leadership canceled all couples from November 8 to December 17 for students of the medical and pediatric faculties from 4 to 6 courses. Instead of studying, they were sent for “practical training” in Moscow polyclinics. The students were promised to pay for it, but, according to a DOXA source, the students never received the money. The administration of the university claimed that the practice is being introduced by order of the rector, but the corresponding document is not in the public domain. Group leaders were threatened with problems, up to expulsion, if students did not appear for training.

The DOXA subscriber also said that at the online meeting of the elders on January 28, the sixth-year student “could not contain her indignation” and asked that the last-year students be allowed to prepare for the final exams. The head of the practice, Beatrice Volel, did not listen to the student and ended the meeting.

In the midst of a pandemic of students of Russian pedagogical universities forced work in schools, justifying this by the need to replace older teachers who are at risk. Students who do not want to risk their health during a pandemic are threatened with expulsion.

“From the outside, this whole situation looks as if the Moscow Government will help the university financially due to the fact that we work this way, but the university does not want to help us. Due to our daily work, due to our trips to the subway at the height of the epidemic, the university can receive sponsorship, ”said a student at the Moscow State Pedagogical University in a conversation with The Insider.
