A case has been opened on the failure to fulfill the duty of a foreign agent against lawyer Ivan Pavlov. About it informs the head of the “Agora” Pavel Chikov.
In relation to Pavlov, Roskomnadzor drew up a protocol under Part 1 of Article 19.34.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The basis for the protocol is the lack of labeling of publications of the media-foreign agent.
The case has been sent to court. The sanction involves a fine of 10,000 rubles.
Pavlov is defended in this case by lawyer Alexander Peredruk.
On November 8, the Ministry of Justice included Ivan Pavlov, Valery Vetoshkina and three other former employees of Team 29 in the register of media-“foreign agents”. Earlier, Pavlov was accused of disclosing data from a preliminary investigation (Article 310 of the Criminal Code) in the case of his client, a journalist and adviser to the head of Roskosmos, Ivan Safronov. The lawyer said that he considered this revenge for his principled position in a number of cases that the FSB is investigating.
In the summer of 2021, the “Team 29”, which was headed by Pavlov, announced the cessation of activities after Roskomnadzor blocked the organization’s website. The Prosecutor General’s Office identified “Team 29” with Společnost Svobody Informace, registered in the Czech Republic, which was included in the list of “undesirable organizations” in Russia. Then “Team 29” closed all media projects and deleted the archive of materials.
