Mishustin dismissed deputy head of the Ministry of Transport accused of fraud

Vladimir Tokarev, who was arrested in a case of fraud on an especially large scale, was removed from his post as deputy head of the Ministry of Transport. This is evidenced by a decree signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Tokarev detained January 19. He was taken to the transport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Central Federal District. Operational actions were carried out by employees of the economic security service of the FSB.

Tokarev served as deputy head of the Ministry of Transport since 2018, from May 2020 to January 2021 he also headed the Federal Agency for Railway Transport.

How report “Izvestia”, he was detained in connection with theft in the company “Spetstransstroy”, where he served as first deputy general director from 2016 to 2018.
