Ukrainian President Zelensky has imposed sanctions against 66 people and 24 organizations. Decrees about it published on the website of the head of state.
Among the individuals who are subject to sanctions are the permanent representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasus, former Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika, designer Artemy Lebedev, Russian judges, Crimean officials, as well as several Austrian citizens associated with the architectural bureau COOP HIMMELB (L) AU. The bureau’s specialists were engaged in the design of the opera house, which is planned to be built in Sevastopol as part of the construction of a cultural and museum complex.
The sanctions provide for the blocking of assets, a ban on the withdrawal of capital abroad of Ukraine and the restriction of financial transactions for five years.
Formerly NSDC of Ukraine approved sanctions against 237 people for elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation in Crimea and Donbass. The people included in the sanctions list “took a direct part in the voting, provided work on elections in the territory of Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk regions.”
