The court arrested Krasnoyarsk schoolchildren who sent threats about mining schools and kindergartens

The Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Krasnoyarsk has arrested until February 23 two high school students who are believed to have sent threats to bomb schools and kindergartens in the city. About it informs RIA Novosti with reference to the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court.

On the detention in Krasnoyarsk of a group of schoolchildren suspected of sending a series of false reports about the bombing of schools and other public buildings, became known yesterday. According to the Baza Telegram channel, law enforcement agencies detained four schoolchildren. Three gave confessions, and another decided not to testify against himself.

The suspects arrested by the court are two eleventh-graders born in 2004. “Studied well, from prosperous families. Calm, for all the time of training they did not commit offenses. One of them is an excellent student, according to the results of training, he claimed a medal, ”a law enforcement source told RIA Novosti.

A string of reports of mining and resulting evacuations began on 13 January. Within just one week, the authorities had to evacuate tens of thousands of students and thousands of educational staff five times. On January 19, the Krasnoyarsk government announced that it would no longer evacuate primary and secondary schools, because from that moment on they would be under round-the-clock protection by the police and the National Guard.

Two days later, the suspects in sending messages were detained. Teenagers claim that they were joking and they did not have any customers. They reached schoolchildren, according to media reports, through the analysis of email messages – they mistakenly sent a letter not through a VPN. In addition, schoolchildren boasted of their “successes” to their friends.

Adolescents face criminal liability under part 3 of article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for a fine in the amount of 500 to 700 thousand rubles, or a fine in the amount of income for a period of one to two years, or imprisonment for a term of three to five years.
