In Kurgan, police handed warnings to members of the local Diabetes Society after the administration refused to approve their mass picket on January 22, informs “7×7” with reference to the chairman of the society, Natalya Vorobyova. Mothers of children with diabetes have been picketing throughout the month demanding the government buy systems to measure blood sugar levels.
The warnings speak of the inadmissibility of actions that create conditions for the commission of crimes and administrative offenses. Such papers were received by the chairman of the organization, deputy of the regional Duma Natalya Vorobyova and project coordinator of the society, deputy of the City Duma Maxim Pivovarov.
Former city administration did not agree mass picket of mothers of children with diabetes due to coronavirus restrictions and the high alert regime introduced.
The organization told the publication that mothers of diabetic children will continue to legally seek government purchases of systems to measure blood sugar levels. The parents also plan to go to court with a lawsuit against the Department of Health of the Kurgan Region.
