Andrey Shchugorev has been appointed the new head of the Department of Internal Security of the Federal Penitentiary Service. About it informs Znak.com, citing two law enforcement sources.

According to the publication, Shchugorev previously served as deputy head of the Main Directorate of Internal Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“I don’t see the point in discussing simulacrum positions,” Aleksey Fedyarov, a lawyer with the Rus Seated Foundation, told The Insider. – CSS in the Federal Penitentiary Service does not work, this is visibility. Their task is the same – to keep the noise in the media and relatives from the colonies. Roughly speaking, so that they don’t finish off the convicts at all, ”explained the expert.
