Gulagu.net founder Vladimir Osechkin published conversation with a former prisoner of correctional colony No. 7 in the Omsk region. Nail Yakupov confirmed the information that convicts are constantly tortured in the institution, and the FSB and the Federal Penitentiary Service create internal camp police from convicts who, in exchange for improved conditions for serving their sentences, agree to beat, torture, humiliate and rape other convicts.
Yakupov said that he was beaten as soon as he was brought to the colony. According to the former convict, he was severely beaten only because he was transferred from Moscow and because he supported Spartak.
“I was knocked down, then one activist (activists – convicts who cooperate with the administration of the colony) sat on me so that I could not move. At that time, another activist started beating me with slippers. He hit my groin. And when I screamed, he hit me in the throat. And then everyone else joined in. One of the convicts was checking my bag at that time. I support Spartak Moscow. There were photos of me standing with Spartak fans. The second time I was beaten only because I support Spartak, calling me a skinhead. And they reminded that they only support the Avangard team here, ”said Yakupov.
The former prisoner said that the convicts were forced, bent over to a 90-degree angle, to run to the shower down the street in their swimming trunks at any time of the year, they were hung up in handcuffs and were not allowed to go to the toilet, they were constantly forced to squat.
“They forced me to squat until I vomited,” Yakupov recalls.
Nail also spoke about the problem of discriminatory attitudes towards prisoners who arrived from Moscow and St. ).
Yakupov said that convicts are forced to work in hazardous production in underground workshops, including making military weapons as gifts to high-ranking security officials from the FSB, the Investigative Committee, the Federal Penitentiary Service and the prosecutor’s office. He himself painted military weapons, made congratulatory inscriptions on them.
“The maximum salary is 300 rubles per month. But that’s only happened to me once or twice. The minimum is 30 rubles. They worked every day, on Saturday and Sunday too. They did not work only in those moments when some kind of commission came. A commission arrives, the entrance to the workshop was blocked with pallets so that it was not visible that there was a door. And that’s it. And we are sitting in the detachment,” says the former prisoner.
According to the former convict, in the industrial zone IK-7, the convicts built a yacht for the supervising prosecutor from an old tugboat.
“The prosecutor’s check often came to us. I remember the last name of one – Khomyakov. He came in and asked if everything was okay? “Yes sir”. If someone tried to say something, just said [Хомяков]: “Talk to them, I’ll come back later.” That is, there was no help, ”said Yakupov.
“In the industrial zone I saw either a tug or a ship in the distance. And, as I later heard from the guys, a yacht for Khomyakov was remade from this tugboat. The same convicts repaired,” he added.
Probably, we are talking about the senior assistant to the prosecutor of the Omsk region for supervision over the legality of the execution of criminal penalties, Andrey Khomyakov. He, according to BK55, participated in the violent suppression of a protest in another Omsk colony.
