Belarusian comedian Slava Komissarenko said that he was wanted by the KGB. About this he informed during his speech in Kiev.
“Guys, do you know how I spent the New Year holidays? I was put on the wanted list by the Belarusian KGB. A person who is connected with the Belarusian protests wrote to me. He wrote me a message: “Hello, Slava. Unfortunately, there is information from reliable sources that they are going to kidnap you in Moscow and take you by car to Belarus. Be careful.” I’m like, “Be careful?!” It’s as if I’m not running away from the KGB, but carrying hot tea.”
Later Komissarenko confirmed this information on your Facebook. “I left, as it turned out, not in vain, the KGB officers apparently got tired of walking in search of me along the Arbat and decided to call me. They called, wrote sms, but they didn’t guess to go to my Instagram to see 10 posters from Kiev and understand that I’m not in Moscow. It took me some time to write jokes about these events, so I would have told everything a little earlier. I believe that everything will be fine, as I always believed before!
Slava Komissarenko often mentioned Alexander Lukashenko in his speeches after the 2020 elections. In November 2021, he gave a long interview to Russian journalist Yuri Dud, in which he described the events of 2020 in Belarus in this way: “I’ll tell a thing – it doesn’t color me – but it will show what state I was in, like the rest of Belarus. At some point, violence crossed all the boundaries that were possible in the head. The level of hatred, that there is absolutely nothing you can do… Peak emotion. And at some point, it seems, they began to develop programs and applications for deanonymization. They identified some riot police and leaked their numbers. I called them all. I don’t know why I did it, I was just shaking.”
Also, Komissarenko is considered the main popularizer of the “Chyk-chyryk” meme about Lukashenka. Once, during a conversation with comedian Ruslan Bely, they joked that Alexander Lukashenko is the only president who cannot fly away on vacation, since he is not allowed to go to many countries. “This turned out to be a funny phrase about the fact that Alexander Grigorievich was allegedly not allowed on the plane, and he replied: “Oh, then I’ll fly myself! Chyk-Chyryk,” said Komissarenko.
In November, it was reported that Komissarenko, who was previously banned from performing in Belarus, would apply for Russian citizenship, he already has a residence permit in the Russian Federation.
In early January last year, Komissarenko canceled their tour certificates for performances in Minsk on April 10 and 11. “Here’s what happened: now all my concerts in Belarus are banned, my tour certificate has been cancelled. It is ironic that the coronavirus cancels concerts for everyone, and for me – the main covid dissident. So now I see no reason to hold back, ”said Komissarenko. According to the comedian, this happened after his statements about the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in the show “What happened next?”.
