In Belarus, by order of the Minsk prosecutor Oleg Lavrukhin, the website of the human rights organization Human Constanta was blocked. About it says on the website of the Belarusian prosecutor’s office.
The ministry’s statement states that the site allegedly found “numerous violations” of the law “On Mass Media”. The prosecutor’s office notes that the organization published “inaccurate information aimed at spreading destructive sentiments in society, undermining the authority of the current government” and the security forces.
The prosecutor’s office also believes that individual messages from Human Constanta were “accompanied by radical messages” that incite enmity and discord.
In October 2021, the Ministry of Information of Belarus blocked websites of Deutsche Welle and Present Time, as well as the resource of the Belarusian edition of Novy Chas. At the end of September, based on the decision of the Ministry of Information in Belarus, the website of the Belarusian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda was blocked.
Websites continue to open when using a VPN.
