Recall earlier reportedthat Rustam Gabdulin, who headed the investigations of the “swamp” and “Moscow” cases, receives a lawyer’s status. As the newspaper notes, he turned out to be the first senior investigator for particularly important cases under the chairman of the Investigative Committee, who, after leaving the committee, decided to become a lawyer.

As Gabdulin said, he “felt that it was necessary to change his occupation in order to continue to develop as a person.”

“I decided to start from scratch like this: I celebrated my birthday on December 2, and the next day I filed a report,” Gabdulin notes. The 41-year-old general emphasized that there were no conflicts before his resignation. On the contrary, “for his services in strengthening the rule of law, protecting the rights and interests of citizens, and many years of conscientious work,” he was twice awarded state awards.
