The day before, the Interior Ministry said that during the riots in the country, 18 security officials were killed, 748 were wounded, and 2,298 people were detained.

Earlier today, the independent coordination headquarters reported that during the clashes with the security forces on Republic Square in Almaty perished at least 30 protesters.
For the fifth day in Kazakhstan, protests caused by a sharp rise in prices for liquefied gas have not abated. The rallies began on January 2 in Zhanaozen, later the residents of the city were supported in many other settlements.
