Tolstoy himself owns a plot of 162 hectares in the Ilovlinsky district of the Volgograd region. His wife owns 10 plots in the Kaluga Region with a total area of 32 hectares. Bukvinova is also fond of horses. She owns at least three thoroughbred horses: Bilibin-2 (Don breed), Nostalgia (purebred Arabian) and Prometheus (Trakehner).
In 2018, Tolstoy, judging by the declared income, became the richest deputy of the State Duma. During the year he earned about 22 million rubles.
