At least 30 protesters were killed in clashes with security officials in Almaty’s Republic Square. About it informs Orda.kz with reference to the head of the independent coordination headquarters Zhasaral Kuanyshalin.
According to Kuanyshalin, live ammunition was fired in the city, and as evidence he showed the casings to the journalists.
Clashes between the military and protesters began in Almaty on the morning of January 6.
