At least 30 protesters were killed in clashes with security officials in Almaty’s Republic Square. About it informs Orda.kz with reference to the head of the independent coordination headquarters Zhasaral Kuanyshalin.

Clashes between the military and protesters began in Almaty on the morning of January 6. There was a heavy fog on the square and nothing was visible, but machine gun fires and shots were heard, residents of the Almaty region said in social networks and instant messengers.
