The operator “Kazakhtelecom” turned off the Internet throughout the country. About it informs the GlobalCheck project. According to the founder of Red Shield VPN and GlobalCheck services Vladislav Zdolnikov, we are talking about “a total shutdown of the Internet in the country.”
“From yesterday until now, we have observed a complete disconnection of cellular communications and a partial disconnection of the wired Internet in Almaty. In some other regions of Kazakhstan, only certain resources, Telegram, were blocked, and at night they began to block VPN services. Half an hour ago, we recorded a complete disconnection of the Internet throughout Kazakhstan, this definitely concerns Kazakhtelecom and, most likely, the Beeline operator, ”he told The Insider.
