KAMAZ-Master won the first stage of the Dakar-2022

The crew of Dmitry Sotnikov from the Russian KAMAZ-Master team won the first stage of the Dakar-2022 rally-raid among trucks. About it informs Interfax.

KAMAZ under the control of Sotnikov completed the stage in 3 hours 53 minutes 14 seconds, the distance was 333 kilometers. Sotnikov is the current Dakar winner in the truck category.

The second was another KAMAZ-Master crew under the control of Eduard Nikolaev (+38 seconds). The third place was taken by the Czech crew of Ales Loprais from the Instaforex Loprais Praga team (+9: 15).

Two more Russian KAMAZ-Master crews led by Anton Shibalov and Andrey Karginov finished in fourth and fifth places, respectively.

Rally-marathon “Dakar” takes place from 1 to 14 January in Saudi Arabia.
