The Central District Court of Kemerovo found the deputies of the ex-governor of Kuzbass, Aman Tuleyev, guilty of extortion of shares of the Open-pit mine Inskoy JSC and appointed them real terms. About it writes TASS.
In particular, Aleksey Ivanov and Aleksandr Danilchenko were sentenced to 6 and 5.5 years in a general regime colony, respectively.
In addition, the court sentenced Sergei Kalinkin, the ex-head of the Russian Federation Investigative Committee for the Kemerovo Region, to 10 years in a strict regime colony. He was also stripped of the rank of major general.
His former subordinates – Deputy Head of the Second Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Kemerovo Region Sergey Kryukov and senior investigator Artemy Shevelev – received 6 years in a general regime colony.
Former head of the department of administrative bodies of the region Elena Troitskaya received 5.5 years in a general regime colony. Confidant of businessman Alexander Shchukin Gennady Vernigor – 5 years and 2 months in prison. In relation to Shchukin himself, the criminal case was dropped after his death.
The convicts were detained in November 2016 on charges of extortion from Anton Tsygankov, the owner of AO Razrez Inskoy, 51% of shares worth more than 1 billion rubles.
The trial, chaired by Judge Alexander Vyalov, began in October 2018. The charges were brought under Part 3 of Art. 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (extortion by an organized group on an especially large scale).
