Apartments in Dubai, owned by the former head of the DPR and State Duma deputy Alexander Boroday, are apparently going to be put up for sale. The Insider was told about this by Georgy Alburov, one of the authors of the investigation by Alexei Navalny’s team about Borodai’s property.
Despite the fact that the information about the owner of the Dubai apartments is publicly available and it is easy to checkBoroday stubbornly denies that he owns real estate in the United Arab Emirates. However, after the release of the investigation by Navalny’s team, someone began to pay significant utility bills for this property.
“The information was taken from the official Dubai real estate register, the debt is about 300 thousand rubles, yesterday and today two payments of 100 thousand rubles were received, the last payment remained,” Georgy Alburov told The Insider. – This is a debt for a communal apartment, without paying it you cannot sell an apartment, as I understand it. Borodai wants to get rid of the apartment before the New Year, so that it does not have to be indicated in the new declaration. He already has one formal basis for expulsion from the State Duma – he did not declare the apartment before the elections, he wants to avoid falling under one more “reason”.
About this apartment on the artificial island of Palm Jumeirah, with an approximate cost of 450 thousand euros or 37 million rubles, Navalny’s team told December 22. The authors of the investigation also showed Borodai’s declaration for 2020, which he filled out before receiving the mandate of a State Duma deputy, when his rivals in the elections suddenly all withdrew their candidacies. From the published document it is clear that Boroday declared zero rubles of income. There are also no apartments in Dubai. Navalny’s team statedthat Boroday should be deprived of his deputy mandate on formal grounds.
