“If I had been instructed, I would have solved this issue long ago. Either he would have annexed the Chechen Republic to Ukraine, or he would have taken it long ago. Still, there are state legal and regulatory agreements that do not allow me to make such decisions, ”Kadyrov said, adding that the Ukrainians are a primordially Russian people, and Ukraine is a Russian territory.
“I said then, after Crimea: we must take Kiev too,” Kadyrov explained.

In June, during a direct line, Russian President Vladimir Putin named Russians and Ukrainians as one people, and also said that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave the country under “full external control.”
Later, an article by Putin “On the historical unity of Russians and Ukrainians” was published on the Kremlin’s official website, where he also develops the thesis that Russians and Ukrainians are actually one and the same people.
The president of the communication holding Minchenko Consulting, Evgeny Minchenko, in a conversation with The Insider, suggested that Putin’s article was addressed to Western elites. “This is a fixation of a tough position. Or in our opinion, or not at all. As agreed, let it be so. Its addressee is the elite of the West in the first place. The task here is to draw red lines, ”Minchenko said.
