The Leninsky District Court of Orenburg fined Nurlan Munzhasarov, a deputy of the legislative assembly from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, as well as his fellow party members Sergey Sergeev and Alexander Maksimov for holding uncoordinated single pickets at the House of Soviets on December 1. They demanded that the governor of the region Denis Pasler repair schools and kindergartens, in which the roof leaked and ceilings collapsed after a rainstorm. writes “7×7”.

The activists were charged with Part 2 of Art. 20.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. Munzhasarov and Maksimov were fined 20 thousand rubles, and Sergeev – 10 thousand rubles.

The activists plan to file an appeal, referring to Art. 31 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which allows citizens to peacefully gather for pickets.

According to the fined picketers, many schools are in disrepair. “They have not been overhauled since Soviet times. It is also noteworthy that during the picket the police asked for our names, but did not draw up the protocols right away, ”Munzhasarov said.

They took to the picket after the roof leaked in kindergarten No. 56, and the ceilings in schools No. 34 and No. 47 in Orenburg collapsed. The activists demanded to carry out major repairs in these educational institutions, as well as to pay attention to the condition of the buildings of other educational institutions.
