Russian Foreign Ministry caused Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine after an unknown person threw a Molotov cocktail at the fence of the Russian consulate in Lvov. The Foreign Ministry called the incident a “terrorist act.”
By data police of the Lviv region, it happened on the night of December 24, as a result of the incident, no one was injured, there was no damage to the building of the consulate general.
The police in the Lviv region announced the initiation of a case under article for hooliganism. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that a “terrorist attack” had taken place in Lvov: “By a lucky coincidence, none of the employees was hurt.”
“It is obvious that such a blatant and unacceptable action was the result of whipping up Russophobic hysteria in Ukraine, inciting hatred and enmity towards the Russian Federation,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine in Russia Vasily Pokotilo has received a “strong protest”, the press service said.
