In Chechnya, relatives of bloggers who criticize Kadyrov and his entourage are abducted en masse. Chechen blogger Minkail Malizayev said that all his relatives (“to the last one”) were kidnapped and tortured. Malizaev, criticizing the Chechen authorities, told Telegram channel “Beware, news” that from an unknown number he was sent naked photos of his mother and sister. A certain Hasan demanded that he stop criticizing the authorities. The blogger asked for help from the media and human rights activists.
Malizaev left for Germany in 2012, from where he talked about what was happening in Chechnya. Family members disowned him on camera several times, Minkail said that this was happening under threats and torture.
Earlier about the kidnapping of family members stated another opposition blogger from Chechnya, Tumso Abdurakhmanov. He said that nine of his relatives had been abducted in Chechnya.

At the end of September, about 30 armed people came to Abdurakhmanov’s relatives and threatened declare “blood feud” to them if the blogger does not stop criticizing the republic’s authorities. Abdurakhmanov, a Swedish resident who left Russia in 2015, is publishing a video describing human rights abuses in Chechnya and other abuses by local officials.
Bellingcat journalist Hristo Grozev wrote on Twitter that information was received according to which at least three brothers of the head of the Chechen human rights association Vayfond, Mansur Sadulayev, were abducted.
Reports that Tumso is not the only target – at least three cousins of Mansur Sadulaev, the Austria-based for founder of the Wayfond Chechen rights organization, have also been kidnapped in Russia. It appears to be a mass scale terror attack on Kadyrov critics. pic.twitter.com/P2SF0PPnwH
