Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Sergei Natarov was detained in Krasnoyarsk, transfers “Kommersant” citing its own sources in law enforcement agencies.
According to the newspaper, the detention is allegedly related to criminal cases in which his son, a former adviser to the governor of the region, Anton Natarov, was detained back in March 2019 on charges of fraud. Then the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported about a criminal group that was engaged in theft of funds on a large scale.
The main defendants in the case are Anton Natarov and businessman Denis Bundyuk, the director of the Internet portal Newslab Sergei Murzin and the former editor-in-chief of the news agency “Dela.ru” Dmitry Bolotov are also involved in the case.
Sergey Natarov was born in 1968. From 2001 to 2011 he was a deputy of the Krasnoyarsk Legislative Assembly, in 2013-2015 – the Deputy Minister of Economy and Regional Development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. In September 2021, he was elected Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region.
