The Tomsk Regional Court sentenced 20-year-old local resident Sergei Sakharov to two years of probation and a fine of 200 thousand rubles in the case of the rehabilitation of Nazism. About it informs “Taiga.info”.
For two years in a row, Sakharov made applications on the website of the Immortal Regiment to post there a portrait of Nazi German propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels.
Earlier, his house was searched and his computer equipment and telephones were seized. At the trial, Sakharov pleaded guilty and repented.
In May 2021, the Investigative Committee opened several criminal cases at once in connection with the publication of photographs of Nazi criminals on the website of the Immortal Regiment. Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code on the rehabilitation of Nazism provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to five years.
In 2020, residents of the Ulyanovsk region and Tatarstan were sentenced to fines in the amount of 120 thousand rubles for an attempt to post photos of Hitler on the website.
