In the Ministry of Internal Affairs claimthat the cases of technical malfunctions of information resources are “isolated” and apologize for the inconveniences brought to citizens. The department is trying to solve the problem.
According to media reports, the failure is so serious that because of it, the provision of services in traffic police units in a number of regions was terminated. This is confirmed by the complaints of citizens.
“Fontanka” writesthat the failure, in particular, affected St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. In this regard, people cannot submit documents to the interdistrict registration and examination departments (MREO) of the traffic police. “People were queuing up in the morning. We couldn’t do anything today. They told me to try to come tomorrow, ”said a resident of Vyborg.
The MREO offices said that the system failed in the morning of December 18. “You can bring the documents, we can check them, but we cannot enter them into the system,” one of the employees explained.
According to an employee of one of the MREO departments, the failure affected the whole of Russia. “This all comes from Moscow, we cannot get through to them, so we don’t know when they will restore it,” she said.
Moscow, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Sverdlovsk Region, Novosibirsk also confirmed a failure in the traffic police system.
