In Rostov-on-Don, an official check was ordered in connection with the publication by the Kirovsky District Court of a verdict in a corruption case, which indirectly confirms the presence of Russian military in Donbas. After a public outcry, the decision disappeared from the website of the court. A few minutes before this, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov named the verdict of the court is a mistake.

The situation is not easy. The Kirovskiy District Court disowned the words about Russian troops in Donbass, saying that the media had misinterpreted the text of the verdict. The Joint Press Service of the Rostov Region Courts reported that information about the presence of the Russian military in the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR was contained “exclusively in the testimony of the defendant.”

In the verdict published Rostov court confirms the presence of the Russian military in Donbass. In the text of the verdict in the case of corruption in the supply of food, it was noted that the food was sent to military units of the Russian armed forces on the territory of the LPR and DPR. The verdict was delivered by the court on November 10, 2021.
The defendant in the case is the deputy regional manager for military nutrition of one of the commercial companies, who was found guilty of bribing the head of the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision of the Southern Military District with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
As follows from the verdict, the official demanded 90 thousand rubles a month in order not to interfere with the supply of food to Russian servicemen who are in eastern Ukraine.
In a conversation with RBC, representatives of the Kirovsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don notedthat an “impersonal verdict” is posted on the website of the instance.
“It corresponds to the original of the verdict, which is in the materials of the criminal case. It contains the testimony of the defendant. The plot of the accusation and what the court admits does not say this. It says that [Вячеслав] Zabaluev showed this – and a listing. We cannot influence his testimony, ”the publication quotes the court’s response.
