RT Deutsch has been removed from YouTube due to circumvention of restrictions that were imposed on RT DE in September this year. About it writes TASS with reference to the press service of the Google corporation in Russia.
“YouTube has clear community guidelines about what is allowed on the platform. RT DE was removed from YouTube in September for violating our terms of use. If a channel is deleted, the channel owner cannot use, own, or create any other YouTube channels. Therefore, the RT auf Sendung channel was also removed for violating the terms of use of YouTube, namely for circumventing the previously imposed restrictions, ”the Russian office of Google said in a statement.
Earlier it became known that YouTube blocked new channel RT Deutsch on the day of the launch of the German-language television broadcast. At the time of blocking, the channel was broadcasting live.
September 28 this year Google Corporation deleted two YouTube channels Russia Today – RT DE and Der Fehlende Part (DFP). This happened after the Russian TV channel violated the terms of use of the video hosting.
“YouTube has clear community guidelines outlining what is allowed on the platform. A warning has been issued by RT DE for uploading content that violates our COVID-19 false medical information policy. This led to the suspension of their rights to publish the video, ” explained Interfax in the press service of Google.
They added that the owners of the RT DE channel “tried to bypass the restrictions by using another channel.” As a result, both channels were blocked for violating YouTube’s terms of service.
Prior to this, RT reported blocking two of its channels without the possibility of recovery. Before that, YouTube blocked four RT DE videos about COVID-19, and then banned the channel from posting new videos for a week.
