Ex-judge Elena Khakhaleva, connected with Tsapok’s gang, is going to be prosecuted, but she left the country

The former judge of the Krasnodar Regional Court, Elena Khakhaleva, associated with the Tsapkov gang, is going to be prosecuted, but she left the country. About it informs BBC.

The Supreme Qualification Collegium of Judges of Russia agreed to bring Khakhaleva to justice, having considered the submission of the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin. Now a case of large-scale fraud and official forgery can be brought against her.

At a meeting of the panel of judges, a representative of the Investigative Committee said that Khakhaleva had been absent from the workplace for 127 days, but that she was deceiving the employees who filled out the time sheet. Thanks to this, she illegally received almost 1.2 million rubles.

The secretary of the collegium said that on December 8, Khakhaleva flew to Yerevan. There is no information about her return to Russia.

Khakhaleva worked as a judge of the Krasnodar Regional Court from 2004 to 2020. She headed the collegium for administrative affairs and was a member of the presidium of the court.

We will remind, Elena Khakhaleva attracted the attention of the press after the loud wedding of her daughter. The newlyweds performed the first dance to the live vocals of Valery Meladze, Nikolai Baskov, Vera Brezhneva and Joseph Kobzon performed at the celebration. There was no official data on the cost of the holiday, as well as the sources of its funding. The media estimated the wedding at $ 2 million. It is noteworthy that the Kubanskie Novosti newspaper, founded by the Krasnodar Territory Administration, removed the news about the wedding from the website without giving any reason.

Khakhaleva’s likely source of income can be established by referring to her connections with Fedor Streltsov, a former member of the Kushchevskaya organized crime group, who was able to seize almost all the assets of the gang’s founder, Sergei Tsapok.

After Streltsov sold Tsapok’s bandit assets with great profit for himself, he began to seize more and more lands in the Kushchevsky district. But, unlike Tsapok’s times, when he and Streltsov acted with openly gangster means, now Streltsov takes land from farmers primarily with the help of judges. At first, the decisions he needed were made at the level of the Kushchevsky District Court, and then, if necessary, were confirmed by the verdicts of the Krasnodar Regional Court. Naturally, none of these decisions could be made without the personal participation of Elena Khakhaleva.

In early August 2019, Russian media disseminated information that Khakhaleva received the position by presenting a fake law degree from Tbilisi State University. Khakhaleva denied these charges. Later, the Council of Judges of Russia turned to TSU with a request to confirm the validity of the judge’s diploma. However, later at the Sukhumi State University in Tbilisi statedthat they did not issue a certificate confirming that Judge Elena Khakhaleva graduated from this university in 1991 with a degree in Jurisprudence.
