The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested in absentia a defendant in the case of the “Network” organization Alexei Poltavets on suspicion of the murder of two persons. About it reported in the press service of the court.
“The court granted the request of the investigation and chose a preventive measure against Poltavets in the form of arrest in absentia for a period of two months from the moment of his arrest or extradition to the Russian Federation. Poltavets is suspected under Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons), ”the court said.
Let us remind you that in October the Ministry of Internal Affairs put Poltavets on the wanted list. In 2020, he told Meduza about his involvement in the murder of Penza residents Yekaterina Levchenko and Artem Dorofeev. According to him, Ekaterina Levchenko was stabbed to death by Maxim Ivankin, and then he himself shot Artyom Dorofeev in the face from the sawn-off shotgun of a Saiga carbine and cut that carotid artery.
Later Poltavets girl Victoria Frolova reportedthat he told her that he single-handedly killed the residents of Penza Yekaterina Levchenko and Artem Dorofeev.
Dorofeev and Levchenko disappeared in 2017. Eight months later, Dorofeev’s body was found in a forest in the Ryazan region.
