In Moscow, the validity period of QR codes for patients with coronavirus will be increased to a year. Such changes to the decree on QR codes introduced Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. They will come into force on December 20.
Prior to that, QR codes were valid for six months.
The data will now be automatically updated on the last day of the six-month QR code validity. If more than 6, but less than 12 months have passed since a person recovered and received a QR code, then a code will be automatically issued for him, which will be valid for a year from the day of his recovery.
The validity period of QR codes issued on the basis of negative PCR tests has been reduced to 48 hours. Prior to this, the test result was considered valid for 72 hours.
