In Irkutsk, the bookstore “Pereplet” has opened a shelf for “foreign agents”. How informs “Taiga.Info”, it contains materials from the “Memorial” society and local historian Alexei Petrov.
The owner of the store, Inna Mironova, told the publication that this is how she wants to draw attention to the problem of assigning this status to organizations, authors and the media.
“We don’t want this shelf to expand. We want this unjust law to be abolished completely, ”said Mironova. – This law is absolutely discriminatory, since at the discretion of the Ministry of Justice very broad powers are given without specification. It is impossible to determine the criteria by which a person can be classified as a foreign agent ”.
“This is a very sad story that aims to stifle free speech,” she added.
