Major General of the Police, retired Olga Kirillova, became the new chairman of the Moscow City Electoral Commission. About it informs “Bulletin of the Moscow City Election Commission”.
“According to the results of a secret ballot, Olga Evgenievna Kirillova was elected chairman of the Moscow City Election Commission (at the suggestion of the CEC),” the message says.
According to Kommersant’s information, Kirillova’s surname was the only one on the ballot papers.
The procedure was attended by 14 members of the commission, who voted unanimously.
The term of office of the commission will be five years, which means that Kirillova will have to organize in Moscow the holding of elections for the President of Russia in 2024, deputies of the State Duma in 2026, the mayor of the capital and deputies of the Moscow City Duma in 2023 and 2024.
