Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights Tatiana Moskalkova said. that the law on “foreign agents” should be changed. About it informs Interfax.
“The law on foreign agents requires adjustment, clarification, in particular, understanding of political activity. So that the decision to enter into the register can be appealed, and that there is an understanding of how a public organization recognized by a foreign agent should work. All this, in my opinion, requires serious clarification, ”said Moskalkova.
This week, the State Duma received petition with the demand to abolish the legislation on “foreign agents”, which was initiated by the “OVD-Info” project. The demand was signed by over 260 thousand people.
Also, two bills on amendments to the law on “foreign agents” have been submitted to the State Duma. They were prepared by deputies from Fair Russia and the New People faction. Both documents suggest that it will be possible to declare an organization or a person a “foreign agent” only by a court decision.
