The German prosecutor’s office demanded life imprisonment for Russian citizen Vadim Krasikov (also known as Vadim Sokolov and the “killer on a bicycle”), accused of the murder of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili. About it informs AFP.
Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, who was a military field commander during the second Chechen war, was shot dead on 23 August 2019 in Berlin’s Little Tiergarten park. Earlier, the Russian authorities put him on the wanted list on charges of terrorism.
The Insider succeeded installthat Khangoshvili’s killer is Vadim Krasikov from the Vympel special unit of the FSB, who is also guilty of at least two contract killings of businessmen in Russia. Krasikov, who came to Germany with a passport in the name of Vadim S., was arrested on August 24, 2019 – the day after the murder.
