From January 1, the Belarusian authorities will impose a ban on the import of food products from the EU, the USA, Canada, Great Britain and other states that have imposed sanctions against the Belarusian government, “in order to ensure the protection of the national interests of Belarus.” This is stated in the document “On the application of special measures”, published on the National Legal Portal.
Among the goods prohibited for import are meat and dairy products, fruits, vegetables and confectionery. The ban will be in effect for six months.
