In Tuva, members of precinct and territorial election commissions at the September elections to the State Duma admitted that they had falsified the results.
The largest community of the republic “News of Tuva +” published an appeal from members of district and territorial election commissions of the region addressed to “heads of law enforcement agencies”. The letter also posted newspaper “Risk”.
The authors of the letter said that they believed in the legitimacy of the elections and “hoped that with the new government the falsification in voting would stop”, but “certain figures were brought to them”, which should have been released as a result of the vote count.
“If we had not done what we were ordered from above, then everyone would have lost their jobs. Because of this fear, we had to take this step, ”the members of the election commissions note.
They decided to declare the falsifications after they did not receive the salary they hoped for.
“Having done a large amount of work at our own peril and risk, having fulfilled all legal and illegal orders from big bosses, we received payment, in our opinion, unworthy and disproportionate to the leadership of the Electoral Commission of Tuva. For bringing to certain figures (percent), PEC members received approximately 20 to 40 thousand, TEC members from 60 to 100 thousand + TEC chairmen received bonuses. All the painstaking work has been done by us, those who work on the land, ”the letter says.
“Outrage is caused by the awards of the chairman of the Electoral Commission Fortuna Oleg Vladimirovich, his deputy Dezhitmaa Elvira Lozhanovna and secretary Oorzhak Shonchalai Hemer-oolovna. The chairman received over 1,500,000 rubles. Deputy – over 1,000,000 rubles. Secretary – over 700,000 rubles. For what merits did they receive awards in such a size, who wrote these awards for them, who is so generous and unfair in our country? !! ”, the authors of the letter note.
The authors asked the region’s law enforcement agencies to conduct a background check.
The elections to the State Duma were held from 17 to 19 September. According to their results, for the first time in almost 20 years, five, not four, parties entered the lower house of parliament. In addition to United Russia, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party, A Just Russia – For Truth and New People have passed the necessary threshold. United Russia received 326 mandates and has an absolute majority. Observers reported numerous cases of fraud and unequal conditions for candidates.
Tuva is considered an electoral anomaly. How reminds “Taiga.
