Employees of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow opened a criminal case against the head of the police department in the capital district of Rostokino, Colonel Igor Gotsulyak, informs a source of RBC close to the investigation. An officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is suspected of fraud and mediation in the transfer of bribes worth 84.6 million rubles (part 4 of article 159, part 4 of article 291.1 of the Criminal Code).
The criminal case was opened on December 1 based on materials from the FSB. The next day Gotsulyak was detained.
According to the investigation, the colonel and several civilians received 84.6 million rubles in March and April 2019 for assistance in appointing them to the post of head or deputy head of the Federal Tax Service for the Samara Region.
At the time of the commission of this crime, Gotsulyak did not serve in the internal affairs bodies, the source said. He became the head of the Rostokino police station on November 10, 2021, reported the newspaper “Petrovka, 38”.
