A court in Tatarstan has appointed nine years in a strict regime colony for the former traffic police inspector Radik Badretdinov in the case of the rape of a 16-year-old student. About it informs “Mediazona” with reference to the head of the human rights group “Agora” Pavel Chikov.
Badretdinov was found guilty of rape and sexual assault.
According to the investigation, the 29-year-old policeman met the girl on social networks in February 2020 and raped her in his car on the first date.
Badretdinov was detained in July 2020 after three months of search. In the course of an official check, he was fired for committing a misdemeanor “defaming the honor of an employee of the internal affairs bodies.” At first, Badretdinov was released, but later the decision was declared illegal and the former policeman was returned to the pre-trial detention center.
